Gina Virginia Harvey (GVH). I was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. I spent 15 years for J. Walter Thompson (JWT) advertising in Jakarta. I held the position of print producer at JWT for the last 8 years until I joined my husband in the US in 2010.
I loved the challenge of taking our customers ideas from concept to finished products while working for JWT. My many years of experience in advertising production, passion for creating still media and educational opportunities in America have compelled me to formally develop my photographic skills. I live in Elk Grove, California, currently a student photography major at Cosumnes River College Sacramento.
My philosophy is simple: Never rest on your laurels. I excel at the fine art of handling even the most difficult of models. On the set, I'm in total control. In the darkroom, my imagination takes flight. Hire me, and you'll never see the world the same again.
Photography is not something I produce, it's something that produces a change both in myself and my clients. In all my years and thousands of photo shoots, I have yet to finish a project and not look at the world in a new way. The camera lens captures what the human eye leaves behind. I consider myself nothing less than a chronicler of the human condition, for better or worse. When you see my photos, I think you'll agree.
